The M.Sc. program is offered in various Science subjects such as Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. The student may choose any of these based on the eligibility criteria of the University. This program endeavors to provide knowledge over and above the concept and basic knowledge of the selected subject. The knowledge imparted in this program is an extension of the one that has been learned at the undergraduate level. The program attempts to widen and deepen the thinking ability of the student so that he is able to apply the knowledge for societal problems and contribute to the development of the society. It also makes an effort to strengthen aptitude for research in basic sciences and its interdisciplinary areas. It tries to prepare the students to successfully compete for employment in academia or need based industry.  The students gain knowledge and develop skills and abilities through both theoretical and practical courses which include hands-on-training in laboratory, seminars, projects/dissertations and tours/excursions/industry visits/guest lectures etc.
